📰 TGIWednesday Fish Tales: A stake through my financial heart 🗡️💚😦

Tesla came up with ways to create free energy 🔋⚡, water 💧 and so much more, but alas there's no money in that for corporations, utilities and governments!  So here we are with one power choice for our home 🏠. 

I LOL every month when I get my half month email 📧🧾 bill at say $150 and only 2 weeks later it's $450. 😲  I can actually hear Duke Energy saying, "Yeah, what are you gonna do about it?  You have only one choice for power." 

Checking out their labyrinth 🧩 of a billing statement I spotted a $9 a month charge recurring forever 🌀 and for what?  A grounding stake ⏚ that consists of a foot of rebar with a coupling and a wire ➰ leading up to their meter.  It is in case of a lightning strike ⚡ so their meter will live on even if the house turns into a lump of coal. ⬛

Never asked for it, called them and they switched me over to some guy 📞🗣️ named Jerry who said, "Sure we'll take it off your bill."  Thanks Jerry. 🙏  It's absurb, a grounding stake for your meter that will cost me $9's a month forever. 🙅♂️ Of course they never sent anyone out to take it out of the ground so then there's that.
