📰 TGIWednesday Fish Tales: Remembering Dr. C 🎗️👨⚕️

Dr C. was Canadian and trained with the Canadian paratroopers 🪂 jumping out of helicopters 🚁 over the Aleutian Islands in Alaska. My father actually dragged my brother and me to that part of Alaska back in the day to go hunting 𖦏. Dr. C. went on to become an Internist MD 🩺 practicing in my hometown. He was super knowledgeable, engaging and thoughtful.
During office lunch breaks he'd take a nap on an army cot 🛌 and the staff would go wake him up when it was time ⏰ to see the afternoon patients.
The last time I saw him we were going to a country club charity event dinner. 🍽️ He was walking towards the golf course 🏌️♀️⛳ wearing a yellow hat, a green shirt, plaid pants and gold shoes. I like to picture him still playing golf in heaven. 🕊️ 
After he passed away, his beautiful home 🏠 overlooking the water was torn down and a new one was built in its place. Likewise his office was bulldozed 🚧🚜 and turned into a helicopter landing pad (see picture to the right) at the hospital where he used to practice. 🚁🏥
So other than a grandson, there is nothing left of him now other than the good memories 🫶🏻🥹 we had of him and hopefully better health 💚 🏃 for the patients that he oversaw. If someone this powerful with all that going for them leaves behind not a trace of his material accomplishments, what should we all be doing?🤔 Our best.
If we only live once ☝️, make the best of it. 🌟 If this is only one of many incarnations, make the best of it. 🌟 Apply for that position, take the vacation, call that long lost friend. Time is fleeting. ⏳ People may not remember what you did or said, but they'll remember how you made them feel. 🤗
